Shamanic Healing: Traditional Medicine for the Modern World Reviews
The book, Shamanic Healing is a wonderful way to get a glimpse into traditional healing. Using the natural way to heal and not a manufactured product instead. I love natural sources and this book is one of those that really do help out! You learn so much and guidance to help aid in learning how to use Shamanic Healing for yourself or others! It's great knowing what you can do or learn from the information in this book. I love that it covers so much on the tools and even the stories of real use and how it has helped. That I think is the big factor, realistic results that happen and not just reading a book that tells you it works, without real proof. Finally, this is a really good book! I love the information and will continue to learn and read it to learn more."Received a free copy for review"
I loved reading this book! It is broken into 4 sections: 1st is the Author's journey to becoming a Shaman, 2nd is explaining Shamanic Healing, 3rd Healing Teachings, Ceremonies & Techniques & 4th Healing Stories. As a nurse, in Western Medicine, I have always been fascinated with Shamanic Healing. This book gave me a lot of great basic information & I really enjoyed reading the healing stories. I am left wanting to read & learn even more about Shamanic Healing. I loved the author's passion for Shamanic Healing!
Shamans and Shamanism has always caught my interest from childhood seeing many of the rituals, speaking in tongues, different musical instruments for different rituals, offerings in Manipur (India). It’s interesting to see more and more people in the western world learning, practicing and talking about this. You will find many participating in the drum and sunrise ritual in a park right in New York City. I picked up Itzhak Beery’s book Shamanic Healing and flipped the pages with fascination as he shared about the rituals, smokes, candles, herbs, stories of his healing sessions.Full review at https://findingthevoices.com/2018/03/...
Itzhak provides great information on the role of shamanism in our ‘advanced’ society. He kindly shares specific techniques he employs as well as case studies of how he implemented them with clients. I loved this book—many thanks itzhak!
