In the last six months, she lost both her parents, revealed her psychic abilities to a small, select group, and found the boy of her dreams. Literally. Payne McKnight has no problem telling Bristol he loves her, but something is stopping her from saying it back. Maybe it’s the generations-old feud between their families heating up again. Or maybe it’s the vision she has of Payne’s grandfather killing the new girl in town. Worse than that, it could be the ominous black snake Bristol keeps seeing in her dreams. Since it arrived, many have died and the Shadow Creatures have returned to kill her. You’d think the bright spot for Bristol would be the vision where she’s finally able to say those three little words: I love you.If only she was saying them to Payne... vision of serpents Reviews
I greatly anticipated reading this book and it did not disappoint. Morrone's skills at character and setting development are on point as he paints a vivid picture of the book's happenings in the mind of the reader. The plot twists kept me turning pages, waking up in the middle of the night to read more, and finally being let down that I had reached the end. I eagerly await the next installment in the series. The book covers an extremely important and emotionally charged topic of bullying in schools. Morrone gives this a new look from the eyes of the victim and, in turn, the eyes of the bully. In fact, without divulging too much, the topic is so pervasive throughout the work. Looking at the outcomes from Vision of Serpents, bullying victims can hopefully gain hope that things can, and often do, get better. But there is so much more to it than just that. Kudos for addressing this major issue.
The continuation of a great story, in a fantastic sequel.I loved the first book in this series. It had my stomach twisting, and I very much want to see it become a film. This book blows that one away.Everything the first book introduced, was magnified and intensified. The life of Bristol seems doomed to be confusing and frustrating. I kept yelling out loud at the situation unfolding, completely wrapped up in the world this author sucked me into. I couldn't wait to see what happened, and how it ended, and at the same time, was depressed it was over so soon.I can't wait to see what happens with this story. I'm itching to follow it, and thoroughly enjoying the suspense put into this entire story so far. Vincent Morrone is a fantastic writer, and any time I need inspiration to start writing again, his books are on my list to pick up and experience again. I love the way he describes things - he is a wonderful storyteller.I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first in the series, and am excited to read the next installment!*I was given a complimentary copy of this book, from the author, to read in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 2nd book in the series. I loved this book. I read the 1st and 2nd book over the same weekend. They both held my interest from start to finish. You will love the characters in the book. If you love suspense or paranormal type books, you will love this book.
Need the next one!!!!
