beneath it's streets lie deadly secrets iain, an ex soldier, is now a business intelligence operative, in turkey for surveillance of notorious bankers for an unknown client then there is an explosion, his friend is killed and he has it recorded on his laptop. what to do without incriminating himself he meets up with karin who was a resident at the hotel and who's 2 bosses were killed. were they the targets so unravels a story full of past history, corrupt government (whats new!), attempted coups, treasure secrets and a man determined to bury his past - literally excellent characters combining a history lesson of the turk/cypriot problem with action bev

A bit of a let down. Most of the premise of the book was given away 2/3 of the way through the book. The historical treasure hunt appeared to have been tacked on in order to keep Adams' core fans happy .

Nuts and bolts thriller, slightly out of the ordinary given the classical references but while it rolls along, it won't live too long in the memory. Ideal airport fodder!

fast paced thriller based in turkey and Cyprus and a sub plot of a terrorist bomb going off, also the delight of the classics too with abit of homer as well.

The book was ok. I liked the main character but the plot/story seemed like it was a bit disjointed. I have liked other books that he has written so this could be a one off for me.
