I loved it....Dore Schary knows how to tell a story. A short book of personal family remembrances of his early life in Newark, NJ (early to mid 20's). Since I am from NJ, I enjoyed it all the more. His family and those around him were colorful characters. I adored his father. Zero Mostel/Billy Gilbert/Oskar Homolka type comes to mind. A big brassy man that would bluster and bellow, yet be gentle. The family catering business provided great fun. Dore told touching, some sad, and mostly funny LOL stories. I wish the book was longer. When I finished reading I smiled. Nice to know some Hollywood people had a loving family life.
