This was my first time reading an indie published book and I was really impressed. This was the author's first novel and she did a great job keeping the storyline moving forward. I found it interesting and unpredictable which I loved. The story could have gone in many different ways and I really like the route she chose. The author also did a fabulous job creating wonderful characters. I hope there are plans for a sequel.

Historical mill setting definitely appealing and deftly described. Dunne takes the reader's hand and leads them back to a time presumed to be simpler, but is anything but. Memorable, multi-dimensional characters leave the reader waiting for a sequel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The characters were interesting and the story very fast paced. I really hope the author writes a sequel - I would love to read more about Aminda and Patrick!
